Rathnew, County Wicklow
Welcome
I would like to welcome you to the website of St. Coen’s NS, Rathnew. Thank you for taking the time exploring our site and showing an interest in our school. At St. Coen’s NS we believe in providing a broad, balanced curriculum that holistically develop the student; academically, spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically and creatively. We provide a safe-nurturing environment that caters for children of all abilities and interests. We have 16 mainstream classrooms and 2 special classes for children with a diagnosis of autism. As a DEIS Urban Band 1 school we have a full-time Home School Community Liaison Teacher (HSCL), an average class-size of below 20 per class, access to free hot meals for all students and involvement in the School Completion Programme. All of these supports help us to sustain attendance, participation and retention in school for all our students, particularly the most vulnerable in society. We aim to promote a love of life-long learning to allow students reach their potential in life.
Le gach dea-ghuí,
